My name is Lucas Rothman and I’m a sophomore at Boston Latin School. I take the 39 bus to and from school almost every day, and I have had mixed experiences. Some days, the bus comes relatively quickly, and I have an easy commute to school, while other days I have to wait outside for a long time before a bus comes. In addition to this, the buses are organized sort of poorly, such that there is usually a very full bus, and one that is almost completely empty. If the MBTA was able to find a way to level out how many people were on each bus, my ride to school would always be a lot more comfortable. Going home, the problem is different. If I don’t get to the bus stop within a few minutes, I often have to wait a while, sometimes over ten minutes. Furthermore, MassArt prohibits us from waiting in there lobby, meaning we must stand outside in the old, and sometimes rain, to wait for our bus.
